Announcing our Q2 2025 HOPE Hero, Marissa Nelson!
We're delighted to celebrate Marissa Nelson, Psychiatry Triage Supervisor, as our HOPE Hero for Q2 2025! Marissa is based in Iowa and has been supporting patients and exemplifying our HOPE Values since May 2024.
Our HOPE Hero Award recognizes individuals who live out our HOPE Values: Humility, Optimism, People-Centered, and Ethical Practice.
Representatives of the HOPE Squad, Jean Ysbrand (Chief HR Officer) and Alex Davis (HOPE Squad Chair), presented her with this award during the Psychiatry All-Staff Meeting on December 9, 2025.
The notes from those who nominated her make it clear she is someone who lives our HOPE values. They said:
- “Marissa is always willing to collaborate for better understanding. She seeks answers to questions others may not have thought to ask yet and dedicates every day to the service of patients and her team.”
- “She encourages people every day and makes the office a more joyful place to be.”
- “Marissa’s first question is always, ‘What is best for the patient?’ and her second question is, ‘How can I make life easier for others?’ She embodies the value of people-centered practice every day.”
When accepting the award, Marissa shared, ‘I am so very lucky to work with a great group of people.’ We couldn’t agree more—our team is equally fortunate to work alongside her every day.
Thank you to the HOPE Squad for reviewing the nominations and presenting the finalists to the Executive Team for voting.
Please join us in congratulating Marissa—our Q2 HOPE Hero!
