More About Abagael Brault

Clinical Interests:

I have primarily worked with children, teens, and families in outpatient therapy, school-based settings, and intensive day treatment programs. I also have experience providing outpatient therapy for adults, both in person and via telehealth. My areas of experience include supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma and stress-related concerns, ADHD, anger and aggression, and other emotional and behavioral challenges.

Clinical Approach:

My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. I believe in meeting each person where they are and helping them build the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion. Through collaboration and open discussion, we’ll create individualized goals that align with your unique needs and reasons for coming to therapy.

When working with children and teens, I value incorporating play, providing psychoeducation, and encouraging family involvement to support growth and connection. With adults, I strive to create a space that promotes reflection, insight, and self-compassion while working toward meaningful change. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and principles from the Developmental Repair model. Most importantly, I believe therapy should be tailored to each person — together, we’ll identify the strategies and approaches that work best for you.

Hobbies:

I find the most happiness being outdoors, especially in the fall when the leaves are changing and the air is crisp. When I’m not outside, I enjoy spending time at local coffee shops, exploring new crafting hobbies, and connecting with family and friends. I’m also a proud fur mom to my cat, Winnie, who keeps life full of energy and laughter. Having grown up around animals, I have a deep appreciation for the comfort and connection they bring. I value meaningful relationships, balance, and finding joy in everyday moments — values I strive to bring into my work and daily life.
