More About Abbie Zeidler
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with young adults navigating everyday stressors, relationship challenges, and the effects of domestic violence. I have experience working with survivors of intimate partner, family, and domestic violence in a residential setting in La Crosse, WI, where I supported individuals during moments of crisis and transition. I also provided Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) with Sagent Behavioral Health in Rochester, MN, working alongside clients managing serious and persistent mental health needs.
I believe therapy can sometimes feel a little weird or awkward at first, and that’s completely okay. My approach is grounded in creating a supportive, down‑to‑earth environment where clients can feel comfortable showing up as they are. While we address real challenges, our work together can also feel freeing, empowering, and even enjoyable at times. My goal is to help clients feel at ease while gaining insight, building skills, and moving toward meaningful change.
Clinical Approach:
I strongly believe that clients are the experts of their own lives, and I approach therapy with this perspective at the forefront. My style is warm, welcoming, and grounded in creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and supported. I prioritize allowing clients to lead the conversation, trusting their experiences and goals to guide the direction of our work together. When appropriate, I also enjoy incorporating humor into sessions, as it can help build connection and make the therapeutic process feel more approachable. This client‑centered approach allows us to explore in a way that feels empowering and aligned with each individual’s needs.
Hobbies:
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m a proud pet parent to a dog named Pidge and a cat named Poppy, both of whom are truly the lights of my life. Much of my time is spent enjoying everyday moments with them, whether that looks like getting outside for some fresh air or relaxing together at home. When I’m not spending time with my pets, you’ll often find me baking something delicious, searching for a new local coffee spot, or spending quality time with friends. I value finding joy in the little things and creating meaningful moments with the people (and pets) I care about.
