More About Brian London
Clinical Interests:
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, stress, and panic attacks. I enjoy working with many different populations including individuals going through life transitions, people who are struggling with trauma, and clients who are in recovery from a dual diagnosis. As a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP), I especially enjoy supporting people in their journey through recovery. I also like to employ motivational interviewing techniques stemming from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by focusing on mindfulness and harm reduction.
Clinical Approach:
I can help my clients find and use the tools they have within themselves to maximize their strengths and overcome their challenges so they can conquer life’s adversities in order to live healthier and more satisfying lives. I like to meet my clients right where they are at while operating from a theoretical approach that is person-centered. Next, I carefully build rapport with my clients, and then I focus on developing mutual trust within the context of establishing strong therapeutic relationships which are based on respect, empathy, compassion, and understanding.
Hobbies:
Outside of my professional work, I am a league bowler, and I love to go see movies. I also really like to spend quality time with my family and friends, listening to my favorite music, playing pool, and I especially enjoy watching Football! I am a huge Minnesota Vikings Fan!
