More About Brittani Senser
Clinical Interests:
My work centers on helping individuals navigate emotional pain, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for supporting young people and adults who struggle with suicidal ideation, self-harm, and the weight of guilt, shame, or isolation. I also work with clients facing family conflicts, attachment wounds, addictions, and communication difficulties. Additional areas of focus include anxiety disorders, such as panic attacks and social phobias, post-traumatic stress, and seasonal affective disorder (SAD). I am especially dedicated to walking with people through experiences of loss, helping them process grief in ways that honor both their pain and their healing. At the heart of my work is a commitment to fostering resilience, self-love, and empowerment for each person.
Clinical Approach:
My therapeutic style is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique story. I use a client-centered approach, creating a safe and supportive space where individuals feel heard and valued. Depending on a client’s needs, I integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to provide practical tools for managing emotions and shifting unhelpful patterns. I also draw from Psychodynamic Therapy to help clients explore the deeper relational and emotional dynamics that shape their experiences. My goal is to meet clients where they are, encourage self-discovery, and empower them to create meaningful and lasting change.
Hobbies:
Outside of my work as a therapist, music has always been a central part of my life. I’ve been singing since before I could talk. I love performing when I get the chance and find great joy in singing with my church’s choir. Writing is another passion of mine and has been deeply therapeutic, giving me space to reflect and create. I’m also an avid fan of cooking shows and am always on the hunt for new recipes to try, even if they don’t always turn out as planned. My partner and I recently welcomed a new puppy, Leon, who has quickly become our main focus and constant companion. We’re creatures of habit who take joy in the simple things, relaxing at home, rewatching our favorite shows, and being with family. I also love to travel and hope to visit Japan, Greece, the Philippines, and Colombia in the near future.
