More About Carissa Scott
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests focus on working with people from all walks to life to identify the behavioral changes that can build resiliency to mental health challenges, and increase their wellbeing. I am particularly passionate about working with children, providing them with skills early on to decrease their vulnerability to mental health challenges later in life. My background is in working with individuals who experience depression and anxiety.
Clinical Approach:
I take a person-centered approach, which means I first and foremost regard the client as the expert in their life. I take time to get to know my clients, to ensure that my therapeutic interventions will best fit their needs and feel authentic to them. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust and unconditional positive regard.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking, painting, gardening, and spending time with family.
