Clinical Interests:

Chelsie is a Pre-licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned a Masters in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling with additional training in intensive outpatient programming, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and prolonged exposure trauma treatment (PE).

Chelsie brings creative experiences to help allow clients to channel their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in ways that words alone may not capture. Chelsie incorporates art making, creativity, mindfulness practice and psychoeducation into their sessions while adopting collaborative support and a trauma-informed approach. With incorporating art into therapy, Chelsie encourages art making (however is not required) and places a primary emphasis on maintaining a safe space by practicing a non-judgmental, acceptance, empathy, compassion, authenticity, humor, and validation.

When it comes to art making, Chelsie’s choice of art shifts regularly however has experience with painting, drawing, sculpting, collaging, weaving and so much more! She welcomes any and all forms of art to incorporate into her practice and encourages clients to focus on the process of creating their art and not the outcome of the product.

Chelsie’s downtime consists of keeping up with sporting activities, spending time outside in the sun, creating their own art, going on vacations, and spending time with family and friends.
