Clinical Interests:
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have a strong clinical interest in providing compassionate, evidence-based care across the spectrum of mental health conditions. My areas of focus include psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. I am dedicated to delivering comprehensive psychiatric medication management that is individualized, collaborative, and grounded in a holistic understanding of each patient’s needs. I strive to support patients in achieving stability, improving functioning, and enhancing overall quality of life through integrated and patient-centered care.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is rooted in patient-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based care. I begin by developing a strong therapeutic alliance, ensuring that each patient feels heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment planning. I conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that consider biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors to gain a full understanding of each individual’s experience.
In working with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, anxiety and trauma-related disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders, I utilize a combination of psychopharmacology, supportive psychotherapy, and collaborative care strategies. My medication management practice emphasizes safety, transparency, and shared decision-making, with careful monitoring and ongoing education to help patients understand their treatment options.
I strive to create an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment, integrating lifestyle modifications, therapeutic referrals, and coordination with interdisciplinary providers when needed. My goal is to empower patients through individualized treatment plans that promote resilience, symptom reduction, and long-term wellness.
Hobbies:
Outside of my professional work, I value experiences that keep me grounded and connected to the people and environments I care about. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, spending meaningful time with my grandson, and taking daily walks with my dog. I find balance in being outdoors—whether camping, enjoying nature, or simply appreciating quiet moments outside. I also love baking and hosting game nights with family and friends, which bring joy, laughter, and a strong sense of community into my life.
