More About Evan Bedore
Clinical Interests:
I have the privilege to work with individuals seeking healing within themselves. Areas of interest include navigating trauma, grief and loss, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I seek to improve the world of mental health by breaking stigmas and opening up dialogue about emotions and past experiences. I strive to educate and lower the stigma around men’s mental health and normalize communicating our thoughts and emotions.
Clinical Approach:
I subscribe to a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach while incorporating aspects of rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT). I believe change comes from challenging our thinking and taking action to improve our overall wellbeing. Ultimately, I use a collaborative approach and meeting the client where they are. I have experience with DBT skills such as core mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed approaches.
Hobbies:
I love spending time outside playing frisbee golf, hiking, and spending time with friends. I put an emphasis on staying active including running and lifting weights. I also enjoy playing video games and watching movies and anime.
