More About India Stockert
Clinical Interests:
I prefer working with older adolescents (16+) and adults across a broad range of concerns. I particularly enjoy supporting clients through life transitions, identity development, relational stress, and emotional regulation. I’m drawn to work that involves exploring how early experiences, cultural influences, and family dynamics shape a person’s sense of self. I value creating a space where clients feel safe to deepen their self-understanding and move toward greater emotional flexibility. I enjoy working with a wide range of presenting concerns and find meaning in tailoring my approach to meet each individual’s needs.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I tend to bring an informal energy to the therapy space, which helps clients feel at ease and build trust – especially those who might be new to therapy or hesitant to open up. While I keep the tone informal, I remain focused on our goals and treatment objectives, working actively to ensure sessions feel purposeful and responsive to the client’s needs. I value transparency in the therapy process, and I aim to balance emotional exploration with skill-building. I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, EFT, and interpersonal process work, tailoring interventions to fit the client’s unique experiences and values.
Hobbies:
Outside of clinical work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being near the water, and tending to my growing collection of plants. I also like doing creative projects and crafts when I have the time. I’m currently in graduate school working toward my PhD, so I appreciate any chance to slow down and recharge through connection, nature, and creativity.
