More About Katie Cullen
Clinical Interests:
As a social work intern, I’m interested in working with adults who live with serious and ongoing mental health challenges. I care about helping people manage symptoms, build everyday life skills, and work toward their goals. I try to meet people where they’re at and provide support that’s respectful, understanding, and focused on what matters to them. I use practical tools like motivational interviewing and basic coping strategies to help people feel more in control of their lives.
Clinical Approach:
I focus on meeting people where they are and supporting them in a way that feels comfortable. Building rapport and trust is important, so people feel heard, respected, and not judged. The goal is to help individuals take steps that make sense for them at their own pace.
Hobbies:
I enjoy reading, spending time up north, cooking and baking, listening to music (especially Taylor Swift) or podcasts, and creative activities like coloring and embroidery. I also love spending time with my berniedoodle and going on adventures together.
