More About Katie Tucker
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests center on supporting individuals impacted by trauma, with a particular focus on PTSD and complex PTSD, complex grief, suicide-related concerns, and the mental health needs of military personnel and frontline professionals. I am deeply committed to helping clients navigate the weight of these experiences while fostering pathways toward healing, resilience, and renewed meaning.
Clinical Approach:
Grounded in a person-centered approach, I seek to honor each client’s story and unique strengths. I integrate resiliency theory and the post-traumatic growth model to guide clients in transforming adversity into opportunities for growth. My background in interfaith chaplaincy further informs a biopsychosocial-spiritual framework, ensuring that care is holistic and aligned with the client’s values and belief systems. I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they process trauma, building hope and empowering them to reclaim agency in their lives.
Hobbies:
Beyond my clinical work, I value time spent outdoors, moments with my son, and caring for my macaw. I also enjoy both playing and watching hockey, which keeps me active and connected to community. In addition, I am passionate about community outreach and engagement, recognizing that healing and resilience are fostered not only individually but also through meaningful connection and support within the larger community.
