More About Kendra Lorge
Clinical Interests:
My psychiatric clinical interests center on treating individuals with complex mental health conditions through compassionate, evidence-based care. I’m especially interested in mood, personality, and psychotic disorders, trauma-related conditions, and crisis stabilization. My experience in acute psychiatric settings, residential treatment, and group living has strengthened my commitment to developing personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and resilience. I’m also passionate about exploring innovative and emerging interventions such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and integrating quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient engagement, continuity of care, and long-term wellness.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I believe in meeting each patient where they are, fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and cultural sensitivity. I take a holistic, patient-centered approach that integrates biological, psychological, and social factors to guide comprehensive assessment and treatment planning. By combining psychopharmacology with therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation, I aim to empower patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my husband and our two dogs, Bear and Gordon—whether we’re hiking, sitting outside, or just enjoying a quiet day at home. I’m also passionate about lifelong learning and take every opportunity to continue growing both personally and professionally.
