More About Krystal Smith
Clinical Interests:
Krystal sees adults ages 18+ through the lifespan, and especially enjoys working with college students. Krystal’s top interests of clinical focus include adjustment disorders, women’s health, anxiety, depression, trauma, personal growth, college issues, guilt and shame, and stress management.
Clinical Approach:
Krystal uses an eclectic approach to therapy, believing that therapy is not a one-size fits all approach. She commonly blends psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), gestalt, person-centered theories, and especially loves using the interpersonal process of therapy to allow for new perspectives and growth in her client’s lives. Krystal finds psychotherapy to be a personal process and considers it a deep privilege to have a front row seat to the human condition.
Hobbies:
A lifetime resident of Wisconsin, Krystal hails from Green Bay, WI and carries on her father’s love for the Green Bay Packers. She has called Eau Claire home for nearly a decade and enjoys exploring the Chippewa Valley. Krystal enjoys traveling, reading, cooking and baking, checking out coffee shops, and deep conversations with friends about intellectual and existential topics.
