Clinical Interests:
Maren has her Master’s degree in Social Work and works with children, families, couples and adults. As a former preschool teacher, Maren has a natural ability to connect with young children. One would say she is a “kid at heart” and incorporates this into her work making children feel comfortable and accepted. She also has a strong background working with youth and families in the school system and believes in meeting clients where they are at while building a strong therapeutic relationship to achieve a desired outcome. Maren easily does this with her fun, easy going, empathetic and non-judgmental personality. She strives to create an environment that is safe and open, so her clients feel comfortable and at ease. Maren is passionate about applying a systems perspective to help others understand how their environment can affect them and normalizing mental health.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, Maren is busy keeping up with her active family and their thrill-seeking hobbies including fishing, racing horses and snowmobiles. She is most happy surrounded by her family and when she needs to relax, will sit with the horses and soak up their peaceful energy.
