More About Mark Guyott
Clinical Interests:
Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring mental health. Substance use and mental health complications are common and overlap one another, and can hinder the recovery process.
Clinical Approach:
I apply a client centered approach, explore to find strengths and areas of opportunities within a person to work in the solutions. After all, it is your recovery and your life. Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, Existentialism, health and wellness and spirituality, and 12-step have all proven valuable in the journey of recovery. I have also found that music, poetry, and other works of literature can be highly motivational in change and emotional meaning and growth.
Hobbies:
I like to be out doors in the sun and in the snow. I love spending every moment I can with my kids. I also love spending time with my parents. I like to golf, take a motorcycle ride, exercise, fish when I can, take walks, and to travel and take road trips. In the winter, I snowboard, ski and binge watch everything.
