I am interested in working with people in the areas of depression and anxiety, trauma and grief, spiritual pain and end of life issues and couples therapy.
Clinical Approach:
My approach focuses on ensuring that the relationship with the client is built on trust and respect as well as empathy and compassion, and it is client- centered in that solutions are explored in a collaborative and mutually agreed upon manner. My approach also is very strengths based and seek to build resilience skills as well.
Hobbies:
I am a big fan of exercise and playing sports such as basketball and tennis and golf. I played tennis at the University of Iowa years ago and have kept in touch with many friends from those years. I love traveling and spending time with my daughter and sister’s family. Anything outdoors is always welcome and I love reading a good book.
