More About Molly McGough
Clinical Interests:
Hi! My clinical areas of interest include anxiety, social anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, behavioral issues, stress management, play therapy and CBT. I work with children, adolescents and adults.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is strengths based and person-centered meeting the client where they are. I often use motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I collaborate with the client recognizing them as experts of their own life. I work with clients to use their existing skills and strengths to understand goals, cope with problems and find solutions. I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful and negative thoughts. I assist clients in reframing these thoughts into more realistic, empowering statements. I work with clients to identify their own reasons for change and offer support and guidance to make that change.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies/tv shows, and occasionally play pickleball or tennis.
