More About Nathaniel Allin-Churchill
Clinical Interests:
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges and build meaningful, fulfilling lives. As a generalist, I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions, while also addressing the impact of trauma. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process and resolve traumatic experiences in a safe and effective way.
Clinical Approach:
My approach as a therapist is inclusive and affirming, with a special focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD and autism, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe in creating a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their strengths and achieve their goals.
Using a person-centered approach combined with evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed techniques, and mindfulness practices, among others, I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop coping strategies, and move toward healing and growth.
Hobbies:
In my spare time I engage in a number of nerdy hobbies including video gaming, painting miniatures, and playing overly complicated tabletop games.
