More About Patti Hecht-Kressly
Clinical Interests:
Patti is a pre-licensed therapist certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma. She is passionate about helping people heal from trauma. Patti believes that life’s challenges are both inevitable and commonplace, and sometimes we need guidance and support to navigate these periods and find strength in overcoming them.
Before joining Ellie, Patti was a police officer, giving her a unique understanding of the impact of trauma on the mind, body, and relationships. More recently, she has been providing therapy in private practice and offered mental health training and support to emergency responders and correctional staff.
Patti enjoys working with adults, both individuals and couples, and addresses a variety of issues including PTSD/trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidality, LGBTQIA, gender and identity issues.
When not working, Patti enjoys traveling, weekends at the cabin, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with loved ones, family and friends.
