More About Rachel Hartman
Clinical Interests:
Central to my work as a therapist is fostering strong, trusting clinical relationships, as I believe that a safe and collaborative therapeutic alliance is essential for meaningful growth and healing. A deep sense of purpose drives my work, with a focus on helping clients achieve their goals and create lasting positive change. Ongoing development as a clinician is prioritized, along with meeting clients where they are with empathy, respect, and a sensitivity to issues of culture and identity. Experience includes working with a diverse range of clinical issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and borderline personality disorder. My therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness-based interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is collaborative, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where clients feel heard and empowered. Drawing from modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, I tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I am especially committed to supporting clients navigating complex issues including trauma, mood disorders, substance use, and LGBTQIA+ experiences.
Hobbies:
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy painting, reading, writing, and spending quality time with my pets. These creative and grounding activities provide balance in my life and help me stay centered, both personally and professionally.
