More About Ryan Hayes
Clinical Interests:
I am interested in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, identity exploration, trauma, and substance use or recovery. I am especially interested in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and people navigating relationship challenges, major life changes, or feeling stuck.
Clinical Approach:
I believe therapy works best when people feel comfortable being themselves. My approach is warm, conversational, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. I want clients to feel like therapy is a place where they can talk openly and feel understood, while also being gently challenged when it can help them grow. I take a person-centered approach and incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, running, playing volleyball and other recreational sports, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with my two Chihuahuas, Kilo and Shona.
