More About Samuel Anthony
Clinical Interests:
I work primarily with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and relational difficulties. I am particularly drawn to supporting individuals navigating depressive episodes, anxiety disorders, life transitions, and vocational concerns. I also have a strong interest in men’s mental health and the unique ways emotional distress, avoidance, and self-criticism can show up in men’s lives. Across my work I aim to help clients better understand themselves, develop emotional clarity, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and intentional.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach integrates techniques from Pragmatic Psychodynamic Therapy (PPP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT.) I believe that lasting change occurs when clients not only develop practical tools for managing their symptoms but also gain a deeper understanding of the emotional and relational patterns that shape how they think, feel, and relate to other people. In our work, we may explore attachment patterns, emotional avoidance, core beliefs, values, as well as how past experiences continue to influence present-day struggles.
Hobbies:
Outside of therapy, I’m passionate about yoga, video games, connecting with friends, and spending time in nature. These activities help me stay grounded. I also enjoy and seek out quiet moments of mindful reflection and meditation.
