More About Sheila Larson
Clinical Interests:
I work with couples, families, and individuals. I have clinical interests in areas of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem, parenting, relationship challenges, separation, divorce, co-parenting, grief and loss. I see clients ages 11 and up, in-office or online, with some evening appointments available, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Parent/child therapy: I partner with parents and their children to ease tension, strengthen communication, and find practical middle ground. As a parent myself, I understand the real challenges that come with raising kids.
Couples counseling: I consider it a privilege to walk with partners as they work through conflict, rebuild trust, and discover new possibilities for their future together. In addition, I can also help a couple going through separation, divorce, and with co-parenting challenges.
Trauma Focus: Supporting clients, whether children or adults, as they work through traumatic experiences is something I approach with deep respect and care. Holding space for their healing journey is one of the most meaningful parts of my work.
Clinical Approach:
I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can share their stories and feel truly heard. I draw from cognitive behavioral and solution-focused strategies, as well as mindfulness and self-compassion practices. My goal is to come alongside clients, helping them uncover their strengths and find a path forward that feels both hopeful and empowering.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with family, being in the outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and working out.
