Sophie is a Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor. She has a passion for working with concerns with Grief/Loss and advocating for Suicide Prevention/Awareness. Sophie is also well-versed in working with Anxiety, Depression, Substance Use, ADHD, PTSD, Life Changes, and a variety of general stress areas.
Sophie focuses her treatment methods on collaborating with clients to build and regain stability, self-esteem, and explore a sense of self/identity. She likes to help clients by walking alongside them in challenging negative thought patterns that impact day-to-day life to establish and enhance life satisfaction, resilience, coping skills, and positive self-talk. Prior to joining Ellie, Sophie has spent time working in residential/outpatient substance use counseling and individual mental health therapy. She believes in creating a comfortable, non-judgmental environment for clients to safely explore situations to initiate healing.
In her free time, Sophie enjoys lots of reading, playing all sorts of video games, and going to as many concerts as she can.
