More About Stacy Rohleder
Clinical Interests:
I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health counselor with experience providing evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges and life situations. These include anxiety, depression, ADHD, suicidal ideation and behaviors, conflict resolution, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use and abuse, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, thought disorders, psychosis and mood disorders, including bipolar disorder. With an understanding of the intersectionality of mental health conditions and life stressors, I strive to foster a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to encourage the development of practical coping skills, emotional regulation, healthy relationship dynamics, and long-term recovery strategies.
Clinical Approach:
I approach each client with benevolent curiosity and respect, trusting in their ability to work toward growth and change. By integrating a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches, I am able to provide flexible, individualized support that empowers clients to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. My work is guided by an understanding that each person is the expert of their own life. I aim to meet clients where they are, taking into account their individual needs, goals, and preferences. This approach allows me to tailor therapeutic interventions and modalities in a way that aligns with their unique circumstances, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. While I prioritize the person-centered approach, I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities based on the client’s needs and preferences. I draw from the following therapeutic frameworks and techniques: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Behavior Activation (BA), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Art Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Group Therapy. By integrating a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches, I am able to provide individualized support that empowers clients to overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. I view therapy as a dynamic and evolving process. My approach is flexible, and I regularly assess how the client is responding to the treatment. If necessary, I adjust the methods or techniques used to ensure the client’s needs are continually met. Regular feedback and an open dialogue are encouraged.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, and the companionship of my two dogs. I also enjoy trail running, reading, home improvement projects and learning new things.
