More About Zena (Septima Zenobia)

Clinical Interests:

Zena is a multifaceted provider. She has experience with people of all ages and backgrounds. She currently sees teens and adults ages 12 and up. Zena is also working as a part of the Wisconsin DBT program and attends our Adolescent group in Madison.

Clinical Approach:

Zena is a German Shepherd mix adopted in 2019. She is a fast learner and intuitively empathetic towards other animals and humans. She loves coming to work and getting to help others (and get lots of pets). She first became registered as a therapy dog through Pet Partners in 2020 and has maintained her designation since. In 2026, she passed both her Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Urban exams and became certified for professional work through the Association of Animal-Assisted Intervention Professionals (AAAIP).

Hobbies:

In her free time, Zena enjoys sleeping in the sun, watching birds, rolling in the grass, and holding her emotional support toys. She lives with her mom (Bree Baylor, MS-MFT, LMFT, C-AAIS) her secondary human, and two cats. Zena works hard, even at home, herding the cats from room to room and keeping the floor clean from crumbs. She loves to talk and will clearly express when she is worried about you or thinks you aren’t giving her enough attention. Be careful, she thinks she is a lap dog and will kiss your face if given the opportunity.
