Sagent Behavioral Health Acquires Ellie Mental Health Minnesota
Sagent Behavioral Health acquired the Minnesota-based operations of Ellie Mental Health Minnesota, creating one of the largest behavioral health networks in the region.
The combined organization operates 84 locations across five states, including Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
"This is more than an acquisition — it's a shared commitment to strengthening mental health care in the communities we serve," said Mark Peterson, Chief Executive Officer of Sagent Behavioral Health. "This partnership gives us a stronger voice in advocacy for mental health services and allows us to bring unique services from each organization to more communities. We're also combining our distinct technology, systems, and approaches to better serve our patients."
The new organization will continue operations at all current locations and will come together under a new brand to be announced later this year.
With approximately 1,600 clinicians, the new company provides 1.4 million patient appointments annually. Services include therapy, psychiatry, substance use treatment, and many specialized and innovative programs for individuals, couples, and families. Each organization brings unique services to the combination, with opportunities to expand specialized programs like intensive outpatient treatment and adult day treatment to new communities.
