More About Airial Diegel
Clinical Interests:
While I continue to explore my interests as a master’s student in clinical mental health counseling, I have a special interest in working with college students, teens, and young adults. I am eager to support those navigating depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and performance-related stress, including those related to academics and athletics.
Clinical Approach:
As my clinical approach continues to evolve, I find value in a person-centered framework that helps to bring meaning and understanding to the here and now. In addition to utilizing an approach centered on presence, I enjoy incorporating skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts. Collaborating with clients to tailor my approach and help them reach their goals is a key tenet of my work.
Hobbies:
Outside of pursuing my degree in clinical mental health counseling, I find a lot of meaning and balance in spending time outdoors, as it helps me stay grounded and present, values I also bring into my work with clients. I enjoy running, hiking, and exploring new places through travel. I challenge myself through training for different events, such as marathons, Ironmans, and eventually more! I also find joy in spending quality time with my family, friends, and dogs.
