Clinical Interests:
Alex Larson is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC). As an undergraduate student, he studied under leading ethnopharmacologist Dr. Dennis McKenna. Alex completed his Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health at the University of Minnesota.
Clinical Approach:
His clinical approach is holistic and trauma-informed, attending to an individual’s psychological, social, biological and, if important, spiritual, aspects of the self. Within the realm of traditional psychotherapy, Alex provides interventions such as narrative therapy, brainspotting, CBT, and motivational interviewing. He is trained in providing KAP and psychological support for psilocybin experiences and lectures for professionals and graduate students about psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
