More About Angie Krats
Clinical Interests:
I am continually in awe of the human capacity for resilience and growth, even in the face of painful or overwhelming experiences. I’m especially interested in how people learn to adapt and cope over time, and how those patterns can both help them and sometimes get in the way. It is an honor to support individuals as they navigate the impact of trauma, relationship dynamics, and life transitions, and to walk alongside them as they move towards greater connection and alignment in their lives.
I work with adults 19 years and older, and welcome individuals from all backgrounds and belief systems, including those who are religious, spiritual, or non-religious. My goal is to create a space you feel respected, understood, and comfortable showing up as your authentic self.
Clinical Approach:
My approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. Sessions are experiential and reflective, focusing on slowing things down, noticing what’s happening in the present moment, and exploring patterns as they emerge. Through this process, the aim is to deepen your understanding of yourself while creating meaningful change. My work is informed by psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives, and I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) based on what best supports your goals.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, you will often find me playing board games or video games, knitting, working on a jigsaw puzzle, or getting outside for a swim and relishing time in nature. I also enjoy exploring new areas and checking out local bookstores or thrift shops. At home, I spend time relaxing with my cat Ruby and dog Bowser, and I value time with family and friends.
