More About Ashley McCloskey
Clinical Interests:
I have experience working with all ages in an office, a school, and an in-home setting. My areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, relationship/adjustment challenges, and school concerns.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths-based. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, supportive, and a judgement free space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. The therapeutic approaches I like to use include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dog Bailey, an Australian shepherd border collie mix. I also enjoy going on walks outside, trying out new coffee shops in the Twin Cities, and traveling. I love watching sports, specifically hockey, lacrosse, golf, and football.
