Clinical Interests:
Hi there! My name is Ashley and I specialize in a variety of clinical areas including substance use disorder management, PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, relationship stressors, grief and loss, motivation, career stressors, life changes, crisis intervention, interpersonal skills, and more. I have a background working in a co-occurring residential treatment facility and prefer to acknowledge life from a holistic perspective.
Clinical Approach:
I appreciate and utilize a variety of evidence-based practices including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Care, Relapse Prevention, Harm Reduction, Narrative Therapy, person-centered care and strengths-based care. My preference is to meet client’s where they are at in life and I have a deep appreciation for a collaborative relationship where we build goals and establish skills as a team. I value working alongside my client’s as they navigate life!
Hobbies:
As a person who has experienced significant loss throughout life, I have come to appreciate the simple things most. For me, that includes spending quality time with family, my partner, friends, and loved ones. I enjoy my “garbage” reality TV shows, a good nap during summer thunderstorms, traveling (fan of anywhere by the ocean), catching a movie, and being outside when MN weather decides to cooperate. In my truest form, I am a nerd with no shame and here to enjoy the life that has been given to me! I’m looking forward to getting to know YOU!
