More About Brianna Seiler Lucas

Clinical Interests:

Applying evidence-based practices, mastering foundational therapeutic skills, and gaining experience with wide varieties of client populations.

Clinical Approach:

My clinical approach as an outpatient therapy intern is grounded in technical eclecticism. Technical eclecticisms refer to the process of drawing from a range of evidence-based interventions to meet each client’s individual needs. I value this approach because no single modality fits every person, concern, or stage of treatment. By integrating techniques from approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused work, I can remain flexible while providing collaborative, client-centered care. Technical eclecticism allows me to tailor treatment to clients’ strengths, goals, cultural contexts, and preferences while continuing to grow thoughtfully as a clinician. I believe it is not a clinician’s role to shape a client into who they believe the client should be. Rather, a clinician’s role is to support and empower clients as they work toward becoming the person they want to be.

Hobbies:

Some of my hobbies include CrossFit, Beadwork, and attending EDM concerts/festivals.
