More About Brittany Decoteau

Clinical Interests:

With over 17 years of experience working in substance use treatment, 10 years in mental health, and the past two years specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), I am passionate about helping adults achieve lasting improvements in their sleep and overall well-being.

I provide individual therapy for adults (18+) who struggle with falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling trapped in the cycle of chronic insomnia. Using evidence-based CBT-I, I help clients develop healthy sleep habits, improve sleep efficiency, and regain confidence in their ability to sleep naturally.

Clinical Approach:

My approach is holistic, recognizing that sleep is influenced by much more than bedtime routines. My background in mental health and substance use allows me to understand the complex relationship between anxiety, depression, trauma, recovery, and sleep. I also have extensive knowledge of the physical health conditions and age-related changes that can affect both sleep and emotional well-being, enabling me to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs.

I genuinely love what I do and believe that quality sleep can be life-changing. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes that improve both their sleep and their quality of life.

Hobbies:

I love to enjoy the outdoors by the pool during the warmer weather. I enjoy going to farmer’s markets, farms, parks, really anything fun nearby. I enjoy doing diamond painting and making homemade pot holders. I also enjoy gaming on my PS5.
