More About Carly Bierl

Clinical Interests:

Anxiety and panic disorders; depression and mood disorders; borderline personality disorder; trauma and PTSD; stress and adjustment concerns; relationship and family challenges; boundary setting; self-esteem and identity development; emotional regulation; grief and loss; life transitions; serious and persistent mental illness; recovery from problematic substance use; neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism; veterans and military-related experiences; and LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming care. I work with adolescents and adults ages 12–64.

Clinical Approach:

As a 27-year military veteran, I bring personal insight into military culture and the experiences of service members, veterans, and their families. I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults ages 12–64 experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood-related concerns, borderline personality disorder, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and significant life transitions. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent clients and LGBTQIA+ individuals, including providing inclusive, gender-affirming care.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore their experiences, better understand recurring patterns, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person’s needs. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and experiential approaches to help clients strengthen emotional regulation, establish healthier boundaries, improve relationships, and reconnect with their sense of self. I believe therapy should honor both the challenges a person has faced and the resilience they already possess.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, reading and listening to audiobooks, diamond painting, and exploring other creative projects. I also enjoy gardening, fishing, cooking, and spending time outdoors. These activities help me stay grounded, recharge, and maintain balance in my own life.
