More About Erica Petry-Robinson
Clinical Interests:
I work with adults across the lifespan who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, relationship concerns, and challenges with self-esteem or feeling stuck. I am especially interested in helping clients better understand the patterns that may be holding them back and develop practical, sustainable ways to move forward.
My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients can recognize their strengths, build confidence in their ability to cope, and make changes that align with their values and personal goals.
Clinical Approach:
My approach is strengths-based, person-centered, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. I view clients as the experts on their own lives and see my role as helping them develop greater insight, identify workable solutions, and practice new ways of responding to difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations.
Depending on each client’s needs, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention, and trauma-focused approaches, including Prolonged Exposure for PTSD. I aim to balance compassion and validation with practical guidance and meaningful movement toward change.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy knitting and other creative projects, gardening, painting and art activities, spending time with my family, and exploring Minnesota and Wisconsin. I also enjoy walking, yoga, strength training, live music, and spending time with my husband and our dogs.
