More About Jordan Vogt
Clinical Interests:
I specialize in treating, Mood Disorders, ADHD, Anxiety related Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders, Dissociative Disorders, Men’s issues, Trauma- and Stressor related Disorders, Resiliency, Life transitions and Adjustment, Grief, and Shame.
Clinical Approach:
My approach to counseling is to work collaboratively with my clients to find the best fit for each individual. I pull from many different approaches being; Client-Centered, Holistic and Wellness based, Adlerian Psychotherapy, Strengths-Based, Trauma-Informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness approaches.
My professional philosophy is humanistic and poses to be optimistic in viewing the human experience. I stand on the position where I see the potential of a person fully realized, even if they may not see it themselves. The potential that people have a choice to strive for something better within themselves that makes them as an individual, have meaning, but also the ability strive for this within others around them, such as their community. As a counselor it is critical in my role to help clients realize this within themselves and move clients toward their potential.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends. I have always loved music and it will always be a core part of my life; whether it is playing guitar/bass, or going to concerts. I have a love of photography, especially when I get to use any of my film cameras.
