More About Kalene Ruemler
Clinical Interests:
My clinical interests focus on supporting adults navigating a wide range of emotional and life challenges. I have experience working with a diverse population of individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, life transitions, and more! I take a compassionate, collaborative approach, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Clinical Approach:
I use a person-centered approach that is tailored to each individual’s specific needs. I use evidence-based practices including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and sand-tray therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and increase self-awareness, while also creating space for deeper exploration through experiential modalities like sand tray therapy. My work is grounded in creating a safe, inclusive space where clients feel heard and empowered to gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
Hobbies:
When I’m not in the office, I love slowing down and getting creative. You can usually find me crocheting, sewing, or working on different craft projects. In the warmer months, I love spending time outdoors in my flower garden or going for a run! I’m a big fan of suspense and horror books and am usually in the middle of something spooky! And when it’s time to relax, I’m happiest curled up at home with my cat, Polly, enjoying a quiet moment.
