More About Kellie Yang

Clinical Interests:

My clinical interests includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, behavioral challenges, and family related concerns. As a client-centered therapist, I value building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, respected, and supported. I believe that each client brings unique strengths, experiences, and goals, and I strive to tailor treatment to meet their individual needs.

Clinical Approach:

My therapeutic approach is individualized and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I help clients develop practical skills through strategies such as identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns, behavioral activation, mindfulness exercises, values exploration, goal setting, and strengths based problem solving. Together, we work to increase self awareness, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new places, hiking, and taking evening walks around the lake with my husband. I also enjoy painting, puzzles, trying new restaurants, watching documentaries, and spending time with my nieces and nephews.
