More About Kristen Christopherson
Clinical Interests:
My goal is to build a safe, non-judgmental relationship with all clients. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and children ages seven and older. I enjoy working with individuals on parenting concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, eating and body image concerns, LGBTQ+ concerns, and relational conflict. I provide play therapy for children, along with caregiver psychoeducation and support.
Clinical Approach:
My goal in working with clients is to provide a space for them to feel accepted and validated. I approach the therapeutic process with validation, attunement, and compassion. Having experience as an educator, school counselor, and parent, I bring diverse experiences and insight to the therapy session. I strive to understand each client’s unique story and background in order to provide the most appropriate treatment for client growth and healing.
Hobbies:
My favorite hobby is reading, which also includes listening to audiobooks. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing crafts, and listening to music. I enjoy being outside and travelling, as well as spending time with my two cats.
