More About Maggie Wilken
Clinical Interests:
Maggie is an outpatient therapist with Social Work licenses in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Maggie is passionate about working through trauma with adults, adolescents, and children. Maggie also enjoys supporting and problem-solving with LGBTQ+ youth and adults, as she recognizes this population struggles with equal access to services/support.
Maggie takes the time to get to know her clients individually and works to build rapport and comfort, prior to diving into the challenges of life. Maggie recognizes starting therapy can be scary and takes time to nurture each relationship.
Clinical Approach:
Maggie uses several approaches that are tailored to each individual client but leans strongly on Systems Theory as everyone is connected to many different environmental and personal systems in their lives that include biological, psychological and social aspects. Maggie works with ages 8-39 via telehealth.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, Maggie enjoys spending time with friends and family, being at the lake, DIY projects, and having fun with her animals.
