More About Melinda Spanier
Clinical Interests:
I work with teens and adults who are navigating a range of concerns – including anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, low mood, self-esteem issues, or just a general sense of being stuck. I’m especially interested in helping people understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. I also bring a strong system lens, with an awareness of how our environments, families, and communities impact emotional health.
Clinical Approach:
My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I draw from a variety of therapeutic models – including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and parts work – and take an eclectic approach that’s tailored to each client. I aim to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and gently challenged in ways that foster growth and clarity. With a background in social work, I also bring an awareness of the larger systems that shape our mental health, helping us look at both internal experiences and external influences.
Hobbies:
When I’m not working, I enjoy yoga, trying new recipes, and curating the perfect playlist. I love staying home and snuggling with my dog just as much as I enjoy a little adventuring.
