More About Michelle Greydanus
Clinical Interests:
I specialize in helping clients ages 17+ through mood disorders and life transitions. I help clients who struggle with mood disorders such as adjustment disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and anxiety. Examples of life transitions include: navigating through college, changing careers, new seasons of parenting, the loss of a loved one, changes in a relationship, moving to a new community, and medical events.
Clinical Approach:
I seek to tailor my counseling approach to the unique aspects of my client’s circumstances, needs, culture, faith, and personality. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, DBT Skills, Attachment Theory and the Wellness Model while working with individuals. I use techniques from Gottman Method and Structural Family Therapy while working with couples. I worked in student development and campus ministry within the context of a state university and Christian college before earning my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Hobbies:
I am a wife and mother. I serve in my local community and attend my kids’ middle school, high school and college athletic, musical and theater events. I enjoy travel, hiking, camping, and visiting the National Parks with my family and friends.
