More About Mikah Holloway
Clinical Interests:
Mikah is a licensed clinical social worker who works with preschool to upper elementary-aged children and their families. Mikah enjoys supporting families navigating trauma, anxiety, and neurodivergence. In a previous job, Mikah worked as a school-based therapist, meeting students’ needs for mental health support through collaboration with teachers, school staff, and caregivers. Continuing this collaboration, when needed, is important to her work with families today.
Clinical Approach:
Mikah takes an energetic and authentic approach to working with children and their grown-ups. She works often from an experiential lens, using the play space to feel all the big feelings and practice what to do with the big feelings. Additionally, an integral part of the process is meeting with caregivers regularly to support them in supporting their children.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, Mikah enjoys finding ways to integrate play into her own life, including spending time with her spouse and pets, reading mystery novels, and being Auntie Mikah to six nieces and nephews.
