More About Neve Heimer-Lang
Clinical Interests:
I work with older children, adolescents, and all ages of adults. In the past few years, I have focused on helping individuals and families move through trauma and grief, anxiety, and depression. I have experience working with people facing self-harm and suicidal ideation, and offer non-judgement and compassion. I enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, those experiencing life transitions, and those struggling with self-esteem and body image issues. I am passionate about helping you dive deeper and develop a greater understanding of yourself, with the ultimate goal of making positive changes in your life.
Clinical Approach:
In my clinical practice, I utilize a person-centered perspective. I believe that each individual is the expert on themselves, and a strong relationship is the foundation for therapeutic progress. While working with me you can anticipate a compassionate, accepting, and non-judgmental approach that makes space for your unique experiences. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based therapy, play therapy, expressive arts, and sandtray therapy to meet each individual’s needs.
Hobbies:
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my two very precious cats. I enjoy many fiber arts, especially knitting, crocheting, and sewing. I am an audiobook-listener and coffee-drinker, and have recently begun practicing yoga. I like to go camping and canoeing, but only when it’s not too hot outside.
