More About Ruth Eilts
Clinical Interests:
I have been in the mental health field since 2015 and have served as a case manager for adults and youth living with the impacts of depression, anxiety, trauma, self doubt, life transitions and ultimately the struggle of what it means to be human. I’m a strong advocate for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and am learning about supporting immigrants and refugees as they navigate learning a new culture while also maintaining their identity. Supporting Perinatal and Postpartum mothers as they navigate their own mental health is very near to my heart as well.
Clinical Approach:
It’s important for me to meet people where they are—after all, they are the experts of their own lives. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals learn how to show up for themselves and with others. Together, we work to uncover the intent behind behaviors and actions, creating clearer understanding and guiding them toward a path of healing.
Hobbies:
I love spending time with my teenager and raising them to be their own individual self. I have two pups and a feline at home who keep me active and laughing. I also enjoy scrapbooking and reading about equality and how to show up for marginalized populations and communities.
