More About Ryan Peterson
Clinical Interests:
I specialize in trauma-informed care and look forward to working with individuals navigating a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, everyday stressors, and struggles related to codependency and self-esteem. I am also prepared to support individuals facing life transitions, academic or career stress, and personal growth challenges.
Clinical Approach:
My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can be your full, authentic self. I believe that therapy should be collaborative. You are the expert on your life, and I’m here to support and guide you as you navigate your goals and challenges. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness approaches. Whether this is your first time in therapy or a return to the process, I will meet you where you are and work with you to explore what healing and growth mean for you. Together, we will find tools and strategies that align with your goals and values.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outside, taking my dog for walks and gardening in the summertime. I love mystery/thriller books, TV shows and movies. When I get the chance, I also enjoy traveling to new places and learning about other cultures.
