Sagent Celebrates Ribbon Cutting for Newly Relocated Iowa City Clinic

Sagent Behavioral Health celebrated the grand opening of its newly relocated Iowa City clinic with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 21. The event brought together community members, local officials, and Sagent leadership to celebrate expanded access to mental health support in the Iowa City community.

Located at 2545 North Dodge Street, Suite C, the new clinic provides a welcoming environment designed with patients and families in mind to provide a smoother and more comfortable care experience. The additional space also allows the Iowa City team to continue meeting the community’s behavioral health needs through high-quality therapy and psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults.

Megan Alter, Iowa City Mayor Pro Tem, said the new clinic reflects the important role behavioral healthcare providers play in strengthening the health of the community.

“Sagent Behavioral Health’s new Iowa City location represents an important investment in the health of our community. As the need for accessible behavioral healthcare continues to grow, organizations like Sagent play a vital role in connecting residents with the support and services they need. We are grateful for the commitment of Sagent’s team and congratulate them on this exciting new chapter in Iowa City,” said Alter.

Shawna Gisch, CEO of Sagent Behavioral Health, said the new clinic location is an exciting milestone for both Sagent and the Iowa City community.

"This new clinic reflects our continued commitment to making high-quality behavioral healthcare more accessible to the communities we serve. We're grateful to be part of the Iowa City community and look forward to continuing to provide compassionate, person-centered care that helps individuals and families thrive,” said Gisch.

The need for accessible behavioral healthcare continues to grow across the country. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), one in five U.S. adults experience a mental health condition each year. By investing in communities like Iowa City, Sagent Behavioral Health is helping more individuals and families connect with timely and compassionate mental health care.
