More About CayCee McKinney

Clinical Interests:

I am currently a Provisionally-Licensed Professional Counselor working towards my full licensure. I work primarily with teens; starting at the age of 16, and adults. I work with people who experience anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I have a passion for working with athletes with mental health conditions and sports performance. My other clinical interests are identity issues, attachment disorders, coping skills, relationship issues, and college & student issues.

Clinical Approach:

I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. My clinical approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and empowerment. I want to provide a safe, open, collaborative and inclusive atmosphere for anyone that comes through my door; and encourage clients to come as they are. I am committed to creating a space for individuals to explore emotions, cope with trauma and stressors, and navigate their way through today’s world. My therapeutic approach is centered around the person I am working with. I use aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and enjoy incorporating somatic work. I also understand that not every person is the same, and has the same goals; so I personalize my approach to each client’s needs.

Hobbies:

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies and television shows, and I dabble in baking. My number one passion, though is music. I am usually listening to it, singing it, or suggesting it. I am also an avid animal lover. I currently do not have a pet of my own but, I am always interested in hearing and seeing about anyone else’s pets!
